My research interests span several areas, including EEG hyperscanning, interbrain synchronisation, natural language and speech processing, and the neural mechanisms underlying social cognition.
I currently hold the position of Profesor Distinguido at the Universidad de La Laguna (Tenerife, Spain), supported by the Beatriz Galindo Programme, and I am affiliated with the Instituto Universitario de Neurociencia (IUNE).
Current Research Lines
Neural, behavioural, and linguistic alignment during naturalistic verbal interactions
Closed-loop modulation of auditory input, guided by real-time brain-to-speech entrainment
Improving speech comprehension in noisy environments using multisensory (e.g., haptic) feedback
Multimodal correlates of auditory attention, including EEG, heart rate variability (HRV), and eye movement dynamics

I am always open to hosting international students and collaborators for research internships. If you're interested in joining our team or learning more about our work, feel free to get in touch.
